mod stylings?? cable management

I need some advice on what to do with the cables in my system, on one hand I want to sleeve them and cabled time them in various ways which will look good but on the other hand put them behind the motherboard tray for performance reasons.

I did the cables behind mobo method on my sisters computer today and the results are impressive. I want a good balance between looks and functionality so if anyone has any of these setups and knows anything then let me know too, also any other suggestions are welcome.
