Default Memory usage constantly rises

I've noticed recently that when using firefox or internet explorer the memory usage is constantly on the rise, even when I only have one window open and remain perfectly still on one web page. Within seconds the memory use by the program climbs from 15,000 to 40,000. Any ideas?

Yeah, the web browser had better be caching those webpages! Otherwise it would be so incredibly slow.

This is normal, 15 to 40mb isn't that bad at all.

nah id go as far as to say thats perfectly normal to be honest.

Ive seen 150,000 in firefox before, on my old celeron that would have made the cpu rise alot but it doesnt really effect the beast i have now!
