I just got some new parts and my memory which is suppose to run at 4-4-4-12 is running at 5-5-5-18. Why is this?

Press Crtl+F1 to expand more memory options. Then go into MIT.

Yep, nowhere in the manual does it tell you this, i was frustrated for a while trying to find it for the first time on my ds3r. Also, give the memory overvoltage +.2v.

I think I did actually see it in there. It's not very obvious though...its just some small text below a chart.

Ah thanks a bunch guys. One more thing though, in cpu-z it says FSB:DRAM 2:3 is that normal? I know on my old rig it said 1:1.

For your board, for your RAM speed to be half of your Front (1 to 1) side bus I believe you set the system memeory multiplier to two.

If not, just play around with it, youll figure it out..

heh FSB:DRAM thats a funny little quirk of the forums. But ya, the memory divider needs to bet set to 2.0 if you want it to run 1:1 with the FSB. At auto settings it is usually 4:5

When I change it to 2.0 though it runs slower won't it? So is 2:3 ok?

Another thing, would it be worth getting another 2gb of ram?
