I am thinking of building a computer. It has 3 slots for RAM, and I found good prices. Is it safe to mix a 333mhz RAM with a 266mhz RAM?

Some motherboards don't handle mixing memory, well. You may want to check on the motherboard specs to see what types of memory it is rated for, and see the max you can have running in the 3 slots.

Also, remember...even if it all works together, it will run at the lowest memories speed.

yes it might have a conflict...second if your buillding a new pc i would go with a mb that suppors dual channel memory...you will see a big difference

yes dual channel is the only way to go. just remember they have to be the same speed and size for dual channel.
