Default Max Temp

This has Prolly already been said before, but i want to know.

What's the max temperature of a P4 Northwood and a P4 Prescott?

I have a P4 2.6GHz (800 Mhz version) OCed to 3.0GHz and it averages about 20-30 degrees when idle or under normal use.

Under 50% use (Dr DivX), it hits about 40-45 degrees.

What temperature does the failsafes kick in and the computer restarts? I also wanna know cause my friends got a Prescott.

Well what you have is very good. I wouldn't go above 60C. Anything above that will probably fry it. I would try to stay below 55C.
