Default max overclocking stock cooling 7800GT

I have a XFX 7800GT and I was wondering how much I could overclock it and be safe with the stock cooling? and do they make any better air cooling options for the 7800 series?

The Zalman VF700-Cu is the best air cooler for video cards.

it was stable enough to run aquamark but now 3dmark05. I was able to play all my games fine though. And it was more of a crank it up do a few benches try the games out and then lower it. I leave it at 500 consistently
