hot HDDs? nah. mine used to hit 65C before i decided to permenantly keep a deskfan on the front of the case. now the are 40C ish.

meh if need be i can get 2 HD coolers but i dont think I will go that far.

What I really wanna do is get a new mobo that can handle the ATI X1800 or Geforce 7800.

thats what I really wanna do with my cash lol

Like I said, try to find something else to find your CPU temp. It is allways possible the BIOS has a temp bug or the diode is bad on the CPU.
