My wife's rig is showing its age. With no money there's nothing I can do about upgrading it. It is a eMachine with a AMD Athlon XP 2000+ CPU and a FIC am37 mobo. Since it is a pre-built I cannot use the BIOS to overclock it.

My searches for overclocking software have yielded nothing but frustration thus far. Anyone know of something I can use to try to squeeze a little more out of this thing?

W2040. Still has the original mobo and CPU.

The other specs are as follows:
1.25GB RAM
160GB hard drive
300W PSU
6600GT

The CPU is the main bottleneck. The best the mobo can handle is a 2400+.

I have a s939 3200+ I could use in it if I could find a cheap enough mATX board w/AGP.

So you are asking for programs that Software Overclock?

Clockgen and SetFSB are the only two I can think of, you might be able to do AMD Overdrive (not sure though)

EDIT: here's a probable thing.. try to download the MSI, ASUS, ASROCK or w/e company's overclocking utilities... it might work or might not

Any way to find the PLL model without pulling open the case and cracking out a flashlight?
