Lexan vs. Fiberglass

I have noticed a few case modding sites use Lexan for windows in cases, what is the benefit of Lexan over standard Fiberglass?

I beleive cutting and modding lexan is alot easier. Doesnt split and break as easily as fiberglass.

I have used perspex on my current mod job.

You need to cut it slowly as it chips and it can cracks.

i use perspex as well, no probs and i get it for free.

how thick of a sheet of Lexan or Perspex should I look for if I am putting a window in the side of my case?
