laptop fan mod

My laptop fan makes a right noise. Its not like a grinding noise that sounds like its on its way out. Just loud in general. Much louder than all the fans and hard drives put together in my desktop.

How could i mod it to either be quieter or put another fan in its place?

You wouldn't mod that, you'd either clean it or replace it. Maybe a drop or two of oil, making sure you don't get it everywhere.
