Default JBOD RAID - Work with 1 Drive?

I just got an ASUS P5GD1.
It only has 1 IDE cable input. I also have a IDE HD and DVD RW. So its just about impossible to reach each other unless I mount the HD drive in the 5" bay. I have two IDE 133 RAIDS.

Will JBOD RAID work with a single drive? JBOD (Just a bunch of drives)

Thanks for any help!

Hmm i've heard of this being done with separate partitions on the same drive. Don't quote me though because I've never actually read about it. Let me know if it works tho cause that's an interesting concept.

Do you know if it is possible to boot RAID drivers and create two partions in Windows XP SP2 setup and format it with two partitions with JBOD?

Any one else no for sure? (first quest.)
