Default New Test

I now have my cable modem...

Try a test at http://www.toast.net/performance/

Pick the toast.net Free one with the "all Tests" and click go.

It put me at: 1034k

I have been anywhere from about 700k to 1150k with those tests...

Default Test

Nobody wanted to try the new test?

I don't mean to brag, but I just did a new test...

I am going at 2358k or 2.3 megabits per second!

Here is something else I found that might help you...
Use at your own risk...

Default I did two, too!

I tried 'em, but I didn't have any to compare with and I didn't want to post first, hehe.

Anyway, from http://bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/, I received
  • Communications: 536.4 kb/s
  • Storage: 65.5 kb/s
  • 1mg Download: 15.6 sec.
From http://www.toast.net/performance/, I received: Loaded 1,754,674 bytes in 28.17 seconds.

I must admit that I don't understand it 100%. So who volunteers to break it down for the non-techies?

On a 2Mbit cable connection at 6 PM: (peak usage hours)

Test 1:

Communications: 1.5 megabits per second
Storage: 182.8 kilobytes per second
1 MB file download: 5.6 seconds

Upstream test got screwy with my browser, but it is usually around 256 Kbps

This is nothing compared to what I get at 3 AM: (DSLReports)
