hi,
i have one and i just want to know if anyone has overclocked it on stock cooling and wat was the result? i heard the prescott's run hot..so yea..

If you want your computer to hum like crazy (many RPM from fan) and chance burning your CPU from fan failure.
 
Yeah, I have consistently seen the 3.0's up to 3.8 or so. But yeah, temps will be your biggest hurdle. 3.4 on stock wouldn't surprise me.
 
Yeah, you need a very trustworthy cooling solution for OCin' Prescotts. Look into the new Zalman 9500LED HS&F. It runs about $80.00 and fits 478's and LGA775's. Just consult the Zalman website for MOBO compatibility and case depth requirements.

This HS&FAN has been benchmarked and performs right on par with liquid cooling at half the cost.
