hwo do u know if u have oc'ed the video card too much, will it act unstable?

You will start to see artifacts or games will start to lag. What program are you using to overclock? I suggest ATI Tool, it has a scan for artifact tool.

Yes....you will see artifacts in whatever you are running or the games would lag like he said. Sometimes you overclock it too high and the temperatures get too high and it throttles itself to cool down and lags.

ya i was going to use ATITool on this 8600 GT on my sisters PC, i'll just keep it there til i get my Core 2 Duo System but i plan on hitting 715/860 on all (XFX XXX edition)
