How to removing the backplate?

The water block is Asetek WaterChill Antarctica. I try just screwing the water block onto the backplate. It wouldn't work. Aside from the fact that the screw size is different, the really problem is the space gap. The block would not be securely in place.
Frankly, I thought of just getting the right size metal drill bit and drill that hole. +_+ Well, it's a thought. But which is better ... heat gun or drill (that is which method is less risky)? Or any other way to get that backplate off.

a simple low temp blow drier... or hair drier, what ever you wanna call it, just make sure you get it only hot enough to remove the brackets, and not to hot, also be gentle...

Seems kind of stupid to try and force a screw into a backplate when the hole is to small, that could cause some damage it it forces to hole open and make it impossible to remove the backplate, and I am sure that he doesn't want to risk that.

I wasn't implying that :p i was saying that he should try it and think about what he could do instead of removing the back plate thing.

.... Only other thing he can do which is dangerous, but I would do anyways is find a screw and a few washers and springs and pray to god that you can get the water block all the way down with enough pressure to keep it down, but isnt that waterblocks backplate for the motherboard made of plastic? I would think enough pressure would cause the plate to force it self to the board and short it out... Seen it before...

.... this is a hard delema. Have a comp shop do it for you, so if they screw up, its there fault.

thats the best idea i can think of now...
