The water block is Asetek WaterChill Antarctica. I try just screwing the water block onto the backplate. It wouldn't work. Aside from the fact that the screw size is different, the really problem is the space gap. The block would not be securely in place.
Frankly, I thought of just getting the right size metal drill bit and drill that hole. +_+ Well, it's a thought. But which is better ... heat gun or drill (that is which method is less risky)? Or any other way to get that backplate off.
