How much should I overclock this pc?

love how e-machines claims their onboard video machines will run the latest 3d games. you can probably oc the chip nicely if the bios allow for any tweaking but if you play the latest games get a video card to really boost the systems performance level.

Can't overclock on that computer, It's am OEM computer so the CPU is under warranty. They do this so you won't melt the CPU or destroy it and then send it back for a new one.

o ****. whats oem stand for btw?

i dont really need a better gfx card since cs already runs nicely on it. dont plan on gettin cs:s either

You wouldn't get very far without more cooling gear anyway. I managed to overclock the Athlons a little way, but much more than a few hundred MHz and it was getting too warm for the heatsink and fan that came with it.

There isn't a point in trying I don' think - I'm not sure if you'll be able to, and even if you could you might get a hundred or two more MHz out of it and you probably wouldn't notice much difference if you only play CS anyway.

I got one word: Unreal3

googled unreal3, these are the kind of graphics you might expect.

and yeah, overclocking depends on your motherboard, cooling, CPU core and RAM.
your CPU is good, I would assume the RAM is not designed for higher speeds, and it doesn't list the motherboard. the cooling will probabbly be stock Athlon 64, and a lot of the Athlon 64 Venices (the 3500+ probabbly is a Venice) can go pretty high on stock cooling, but yeah. the RAM and motherboard will probabbly hold you back.
