maybe it is only good for xp...
anyway, here's a good program for temperature monitoring and a bunch of other things:

this one runs on win2k.

already have all the little tweaks from, thanks though....luckily i found the cpu monitor in my bios. stupid me didn't look closely enough the many times i've been in there. my temp is running at 38-41 c. what i also need to do (again dumb me) is put some heat sink grease between the processor and heatsink. it's running without one right now. dumb huh? i don't know if the temp will actually go down once i grease it up.
