i have a 3GHz Pentium 4 with an 800MHz BUS
and i have an asus deluxe motherboard able to support up to 3.2GHz cpu and an 800MHz bus can i overclock my cpu? if so how?

stating mobo would be helpful. Almost all asus boards allow for a good 30% overclock and goos stablity. So i would say on air cooling to 3.5-3.6ghz Any more might require water cooling.

my mobo is ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe i875P 1394/GBL SATA M/B
i have 4fans running at the moment is that good enough if i clock it at 3.6 the temperature at the moment is 32.9 degrees celcius

i was wondering if i could get it up to about 3.4GHz its running at 29.6degrees celcius at the moment so if i got it up to 3.4ghz do you think i could still run it wit 4fans? also i have no idea how to do this lol

Increase it a bit at a time, and monitor temps, while running it through it's paces.

becuase a p4 3ghz would have set u back a fair bit and u are new to OCing and also becuase 3ghz is prety fast... u dont realy need to OC... if u have an old pc try that first if u realy wanna overclock
