homebew water cooling

i wont be able to afford water cooling so i decided to create my own.

heres my idea:

i have an old aquarium pump and some clear vinyl tubings so can i just buy some water blocks, liquid and some hose clamps to get this working?

do i need some sort of device to cool my water?


please leave some suggestions.

Bad idea. You need a rad too. Your house ones make good ones.

yea...you need some kinda water reservoir to hold the water( since i think your not filling up your case with water) and you will need a water block for your CPU and you will need a pump(which you have) and you need some kinda radiator with a fan on it. Its going to be hard to make a loop like that with just houshold and aquarium products....

lol. im going to give up on this because it sounds way too difficult to build.

i would. i got sooo many car parts and stuff to do it. got the perfect stuff too. i have an old pontiac trans am transmission radiator thing and a crapload of tubing, the pump from our swamp cooler, about 20 feet of 1/2in tubing, and some plexiglass. i bet i could create something worth while, minus the cpu block.















im too poor tho to buy a cpu block....and a pc is way more expensive than my homemade ****
