Default Help my overclock my e6300 Pretty Please!

hey guys..i got a new pc a couple of weeks back and these are my Parts:

e6300 @ 1.86
Gskill 1GB DDR2-800 cl5-5-5-15 RAM
ASUS p5b Deluxe WIFI
250gb Seagate SATA2
XFX 7900GT 256mb

I read some guides but some parts were a bit too confusing for me.So please could someone just tell me what settings i would need to enter in the bios to overclock my e6300 to something like 2.4 or even maybe 2.6...But whatever seems possible.

Thank you!

With that G.Skill RAM you should be able to hit at least 3.0ghz as G.Skill kicks ***. Go to overclock.net for some more serious overclocking.

I hope that was allowed to post a link to a great overclocking site.

Set up a ram divider, raise the FSB, bump up the voltage, rinse, repeat.

Its really simple actually, just takes some patience.

For the record, I highly advise against visiting overclock.net based on various reasons which I will keep to myself.

I will however, reccomend checking out www.xtremesystems.net

Or you can read the overclocking guide located at the top of the forum and save everyone here some time...
