Default Help laptop keeps shutting off???

ok, i have a newer sony vio, laptop and when i try and watch a video clip and download, or play a game after about 10-20 minutes it shuts off?? the fan seems to be running strong, please help me out here, i am not so good with computers.

Sounds like an overheat problem. I am just guessing though.

you should try calling tech support and see what they say. BTW is it under warranty

check the battery. im not kidding. did you charge it before you used it? because my sister got one and the battery dies after 30 mins of idling, so if yours is under load..... and this is not specific to her laptop. VAIOS are notorious for having ****ty battery life

it is plugged into the wall charger, is there anything else i can do? add a fan or????

oh than its most likely overheating. make sure the fan is not covered. and if you live somewhere where it is snowing take it outside and try.

May also be a power thing, laptops are set to go off after 20 minutes usually
