Default help with GTX 260

hey guys i wanna over clock my gtx 260
iv overclocked core clock to 650 from 575 and memory clock to 1100 from 1000
and the temps were 58 wile playing a game.

what is the highest you think i can go?

Is yours the 55nm or 65nm GTX 260?

That could affect whether how high it can go. If its 55nm, I would try to make sure it doesn't go past 70-75 degrees, with 65nm, 75-80

Also, for how far you can go, that's really subjective tbh, that you'll have to play around with, because so many variables can affect that.

I've read 260s don't goto high. I got my 2 @ 605/1452/1010 for folding.

i've taken mine up to 700ish/XXX/1100ish before :\ dunno if that was stretching it or i could of gone farther though

216core 65nm version

^ same here. Anything above 700 core and I get artifacting. I did get memory to 1175 with stability. The EVGA SSC version is 675/2304, so figure you can go to those speeds safely enough.

650 core, is that all? mine comes stock at those clocks. i have easily gotten mine to do 750 core. mine is the core 216 55nm.


The only thing ATi can render faster than nVidia is the BSOD
