Default HDD partition

what is the best way to partition a HDD for better performance/gaming. For example xxGB (OS) xxGB(programs/games) xxGB(page 1.5+RAM??) catch my drift?? i never divided my drive up before and i just stumbled upon it, and it apparently helps performance better than one partition if i've read right.. any input is appreciated.. oh and i have 160GB HDD if that helps..cheers

But if you want to partition your hdd, I'd go with 20GB for the OS, and put the other 140GB as a games/programs partition. Don't worry about creating a seperate partition for your vm, just configure that in the os partition.
