HD 4780 Fan Question

Just wondering, is there any harm in permanently leaving the fan running, when I didn't use the Catalyst Control Center, the fan was permanently running at around 75oC (Idle) ... I've put the fan on 30% and it seems to be hovering around 45oC now.

Brand new card, literally put in a few hours ago,

My HD4850 fan is 100% whenever my PC is on. My old X1950XT was the same way, for almost two years, no problems every came of it.

It will just wear the fan bearings down a little bit faster, but should still serve a plenty long lifetime.

Well obviously if i'm going on a game i'll change it to higher, but 30% seems fine for just idling, downloading etc... thanks for answer.

yeah that's no problem. When I'm not doing anything serious I turn my 9600gt down to 20%, cuts down on noise and doesn't hurt anything.
