Default GPU Temp

What is the average temp for a GPU when idle? When playing a game?

I have a non overclocked GPU but I figured the OC community knows best when it comes to temps. My GPU in a game is 69 C. My geforce has a core slowdown threshold of 115 C but isn't that too high should I reduce that to 70-80?

Ok but if I want better cooling in the future is it possible to increase the fan speeds. I'm aware this is common but I do not know where to do this and cannot find any options like that in the BIOS.

A GPU can stand much higher temps than a CPU can.

if you have an ATi card, get atitool, and under settings you can override the fan settings. now my card's fan actually speeds up before it reaches 70c
