my opinion is go with the 2nd one.. But i mean i also think you should build it since its a great way to know about computers... But i mean do what u want. The 2nd one is a better deal i think. I think it will also be cheaper too if u build it yourself.

Personally I'd go with option 1, except if you're willing to spend an extra 300 dollars as shown on option 2, then upgrade the 2500+ to the 3200+ if you're not into overclocking. Also make the ram a name brand like corsair, ocz, mushkin... kingston isn't all that bad either. Then upgrade the 9600XT card to the 9800Pro, and that would suit ya perfectly!

I'd go for PC #2. But that's only cuz it;s faster & more powerful.

I wonder, most K8 board have onboard RAID, why the hell do they supply 2 different drives? I'd be happier with 2 80gig drives in RAID-0 then a 120gb with 8mb cache.(I have 120Gb with 8mb cache in RAID-0 :P)

Corsiar seems to be a very good OC mem, so you got some guarantees it will go a few mhz faster then specified

Ya, definetely hit the second one dude.

Although I am an ATI fanboy (Yes, i admit it!!!), the second one has a GeforceFX 5900, which is a GREAT video card, albeit the terrible reviews it has received.

The ATI radeon 9600-XT (the one i have) is a great card also, but the FX 5900 is simply more powerful, and that is why it is more expensive.

Anyways, good luck with your system. Either way it is gonna be a monster.
