More than enough.

If you wanted to, you could buy a 450 watt Fortron and it would still be fine, but you do want to leave room for upgrades.

the 550 vx is cheaper than the 520hx. The 520 is modular and dual rail, while the 550 is nonmodular and single rail. But i use a 520 with quad core and dual GTS 512's, so yes.

Is this a good PSU? I have a XION II PC case and it has 450w psu and i doubt it has 12v with 30a which is required on the card. so, is this a good psu for an GeForce 8800?

Yeah, but the card doesn't use 30a, it just recommends you put it on a 30a rail so that it combined with other devices don't overload a rail. It probably draws less than 8 amps so if you have enough rails to put everything else on you can put it on an 15a rail by itself and be fine.

iirc the 520hx has 3 rails.

^^ you remember correctly, I remember it has 3 12v Rails with 18 Amps on each

Certainly not!! Many other brands exsist of similar if not exact quality...

ok, maybe just a list of the top 10 for a normal build. Like veedubs build as an example and then ten good ones that can run it, and OC it, just fine. :D
