Well you cant have high CFM and low DBA. Thats like having alot of energy, but no mass. Here are the best 120mm fans on the market. The first one has 125-CFM, witch is insane. I have a few of these. The second has 108-CFM, i also have a few.

120mm's.

Here is a low DBA Stealth fan. But its low CFM for a 120mm. Thats because its silent.

Here is the best 80mm fan on the market.

Im not going to suggest any low DBA 80mm fans. Because they are pretty much useless.

Do things like rubber grommets and rubber fan silencer mats really make a difference in the noise level?

Let me tell you that kinda stuff makes a worlds difference in sound

However, little peices of rubber work wonders too.

Basically I'd try to go for a 120mm versus an 80mm case fan if possible. They spin slower and actually circulate air better.

I know, I'm getting a 120. There is a space for a 120 in the back and there is already a pre-configured mount for an 80 in the front. Then there is already a 92 on the side and a 92 on the top.
