GeForce 6800 video cards

Can someone of " Yoda " like intelligence explain to me the difference between all these different companys that make this same video card but charge different prices for them. Would paying the most money for the card get me a video card I could use for a few years??

some companies overclock their cards others sell their cards with different software bundles some are better quality than others and of course some just charge more or less for no particular reason so paying more doesnt necessarily mean youll get a better card. try seeing which cards get better reviews and benchmark results and you can start from there.

Each company has the same chip ont he card, but they can build the card differently. The biggest difference usually is the HSF on the GPU. Take eVGA for example, they have one of the best cooling systems on their 6800GT wich permits better overclocking, but it costs more than most of the other 6800gt
