AMD ATHLON 64 3200+ 939-PIN
MSI GEFORCE 6600 PCI-E 128MB
LITE-ON DVD/CDRW COMBO
WESTERN DIGITAL 80GB SERIAL ATA
PC-533 512MB DDR2 DIMM
CP868B BLACK ATX CASE 420W PS
MICROSOFT WINDOWS XP HOME (OEM)


Just wanted to make sure this would work, and do i need anything for the sound.

Only real prob is AMD doesn't use DDR2 Memory, So you'll have to change that.

No, you don't need anything for sound. Your motherboard has onboard sound and it should be fine for a basic speaker setup.

Avoid the 6600 or the 6800. buy nvidia products with the GT suffix ie 6600GT / 6800GT. And yes, AMD does not support DDR2. DDR2 is 240 pin. Check to see what your motherboard supports. I betcha it says 184pin pc3200 DDR400!
