Thanks, Will this DVD
http://www.plextor.com/english/products/716SA.htm
hook to this mobo
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131538

It's SATA but I was looking and this mobo has 4 SATA inputs but are these inputs only for hardrives? Will I need a seperate pci card to do it? I am installing 2 hardrives in a matrix raid.
Thanks again

That drive is very expensive....... It has features that I do not think you will use. How about a nice IDE drive like this one......
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827136049

This one does DVD-RAM & Dual Layer!!!!! And it is only $46.99. These drives are well built and are great. I have 2 of them. With these drives you can pick up and DVD media and it is guarenteed to work.......

Well that would be great if I hadn't allready bought this one. I kinda jumped the gun thinking I needed SATA hookups, U see I am obviously still learning here. Thanks for the advice though. So back to my original question....
Will it hook up to this board or do I need a seperate card?
Thanks again

That drive will hook up thru the sata connections.....

And yes you should be able to do a RAID with the HD's on sata.
