Fisrt time overclocking,Please help - Techist - Tech Forum

Default Fisrt time overclocking,Please help

fisrt thing i try to logging to BIOS and find for:
CPU Enhanged halt(CIE) Disable-OK
CPU thermal monitor Disable-OK
But i can not find CPU EIST Function and i can not find the way to changer the Bus speed ,the only thing i see FSB(QDR) :1066
any idea please.

first update to the latest BIOS... so u don't cap because of the FPS Wall..

just update new bios and i did DSIABLE all three (CIE,TM2,EIST) but when i changer the bus speed from ntune to 277mhz then it still come back to 267mhz after rebool system.

Why would you disable the Thermal Monitor? It shuts down your computer if the temp. goes above a certain temperature, which keeps you from frying your components should the CPU fan stop working or something else happens.

I set FSB to 1200 in BIOS but it still go back to 1066 when i boot in windown.some idiea please

OK,Iam in now.I just did remove CPUZ and install again then it working,maybe because i did update new BIOS,and now what i have to do next,please.

Yea its a problem. Usually means your giving too much or too little Vcore. It could mean other things as well BUT start playing with the vcore more..
