Yeah $500 is swell for something that can take on an Ultra. This is probably one of the first ebay deals i'm impressed with.

I'm surprised that people here are impressed with this. The memory clock is mediocre at best. I can easily get mine to 1100, most GTS can do it without a voltmod... Plus, the memory modules get damaged over time with frequencies over 1000MHz...

Plus, 800MHz is really not that great of an overclock for a voltmod. I can get mine to 785 with stock voltage, and I've hit 800 with the initial drivers, but the driver performance is a little bit poorer, so it's a trade-off. Not really imprssed at all with this... and he's charging $500? What a rip!

If you change the voltage through BIOS, then they can find out for sure when your card fries, or it might even keep a log, but with a hardware modification, if you desolder it properly, there is no way for them to know...

can companys find out if your cards been overclocked?

if it burns out while you have the overclock settings, then probably, but most third-party Nvidia-GPU companies have OCing covered under warranty.

my xpert vision 8600gt came with overclocking softare, rubbish compared to ati tool but i reckon if killed my card with the bundled software i would be ok
