Fans and Temps

From what my buddy at work told me, if the computer is being used more than 8 hours a day it uses less electricity to leave it running than to shut it down. Whether or not this is true i dont know, all i know is that leaving a quadcore running 24/7 is a GREAT way to increase your airconditioning bill.

lol your buddy is wrong When your pc is off only the motherboard is drawing power, when your pc is on even when not used the fans, the harddrive is spinning, the ram and all other components will be running even if it is just a small current there is still power being used. Just hibernate your pc much less expensive

Expensive I think your mouse costs more then a PC's power usage.

talk for yourself I have a £10 3 year old mouse and it has served me well
