Ok, will do...but how do i know if thats the one thats failed...should i take a look at it when the computer is on?

The only fan your computer will tell you has failed is the CPU fan most likely, expisally in a dell

Yes you can have RPM sensors on other fans, but your PC doesnt care at all about them

ok, so my fan failed, what should i do?

why is this affecting my fps?

well mate, Im not sure why the 90 degrees C your cpu will be under if thats the fan that died would make your fps so low, all I can say is your pc is lucky to be running at all without your cpu fan. I had a failure on here with my 2.8ghz system and it only just survived. Maybe thats why your framerate sucks. Get a fan. Get a coolermasters aero series, i love the turbine that comes with em!

this is odd, well my fps is back to normal...

aww...i dont need a cpu fan, its just a dell afterall

Your wrong you need a CPU fan, go buy one

Your FPS probolly went up because your fan started spinning

When your FPS drops that means yoru CPU is overheating enough to start running slower.

once again... ...sorry for the outburst.


My pc lights up! Got 2 uv purpley bars and a bar goping horizontally between em both with 12 led's that scroll up and down changing colour and things, w00t! National grid beware!
