fan direction??

i seached it but cant find it. on a fan, does the fain blow to the side with the cross supports? or away from it

Normaly you want your fans to blow in from the front and out of the back. Keeping in mind that you will want to remember that hot air does rise too

Keep in mind, your 2 big sorces of hot air in your PC are CPU and Video Card.

Stick your finger in the fan and find out. If it does not hurt that much, then that is the side that is blowing out air. It's it hurts alot or slices your finger off, then that is the side that is that sucking air in.

On a serious note, if you look closely at the fan, you should have some sort of arrow indicating fan direction and air flow direction. The cooler master fans that i use have this.

If I am ever confused by a fans direction i get a piece of paper or tissue. If it gets sucked in that is the intake side. and vice versa.

There's an embossed arrow on the side.. the open side of the fan blade is the exhaust side.
