What is overclocking? What does it mean and do?

Changing a system's configuration so that it runs at a faster speed than recommended by the manufacturer.

nah don't let major fool you, overclocking means setting your system time thats down in the toolbar one hour ahead

yea man its when u push ur time forward i OC'd my time bye like 5 hrs i think it can go more tho

yea but exactly wat does overclocking do for your computer perfomance wise? From what Im reading It is adjusting the time in your taskbar to a couple of hours ahead will make my computer run faster? I dont get it.

They are just kidding aout the time in the taskbar.
Overclocking usually makes your computer run faster. More clocks per second.
