Is everything okay to go? Tips & suggestions.

My first build: p4 3.0 800 mhz, 512kb l2 cache xp pro free!
intel d865gbf mobo free!
1 GB kit ddr400 kingston value ram
seagate barracuda sata150 160gb
nec dl burner model-ND-2510A
nec dvd-rom $18.00 model. I this even good?
turbo case xpider w/420 power supply
ati radeon 9800 pro 256mb ddr 256bit.
Intel promotions gave a friend of a friend the chip n mobo, I recieved this bundle free as a gift. Finally I have bought all the pieces and i'm just waiting for the ram to be replaced(doa), and a sata power connector for my hard drive(should my hard drive have come with one?).
I hope someone reads this and is willing to give me detailed information. Is everything compatible, and am i missing anything, what kind of software should i get for burning(are exact copies possible?) any other software you just can't live without. I need to know.

besides u also need a hard drive, video card, ect.

uhh what else u got for the pc..? u need gfx card, monitor, sound card if u dont want the onboard...
