So I decided to turn on the XMP feature through BIOS for my memory

I have the Corsair vengeance LPX 16gb running at 3600MHz

But, when I turn XMP on in the BIOS it causes my computer to crash saying "overclock failed"

This is my system currently:

CPU:

-Inter i7-6800K (I have not overclocked it)
-X99A MSI Carbon PRO mobo
-EVGA 1070 GTX
-EVGA Supernova 750G PSU

Here is my CPU-Z Validation

You're probably not going to unless you're an advanced overclocker, which I'm going to assume you're not if you're here asking. Anything above 2666 on X99 causes a BCLK strap of 125MHz which also messes with the CPU speed. Because of this it requires you to manually tweak CPU voltage settings and usually manually adjust other RAM based timings/voltage. Haswell-E and Broadwell-E don't really like RAM speed much higher than 2666 without a lot of tinkering.THose high speed kits are mainly made for Skylake and Kaby Lake, but to get the full performance of your machine the speeds aren't required at all.
