sure they use the same probes, but some progs interpret them diff.

speedfan, everest, core temp, prog that came with mobo (which i would expect to be the most accurate)

btw, my cpu is E0 stepping, is that good lol? might explain what it runs so cool

a) 3.8ghz CPU, 420mhz RAM, 5-5-5-13 2T timings

b) 3.0ghz CPU, 533mhz RAM, 6-6-6-18 2T timings

a or b?

my motherboard doesn't want to post with a RAM divider in place other than 1:1. and 3.9ghz+ is stable but only at high voltages and high temps (65+). not comfortable with that

isn't the ram in B slower or nearly equal to A? the cpu on the otherhand loses 800 mhz... timings are just as important as frequency... right?

I'm still not sure about my temps. the utility that came with my motherboard, ASRockOC, says my load "CPU temp" barely hits the low 50s. but CoreTemp says the cores' temps get to the low 60s.

should I trust the ASRock utility since it is made for my motherboard? supposedly there are different versions for each motherboard model.

and what matters? cpu temp or core temp? i still havent found a consensus on that...
