DVD drives won't match case

I'm looking at getting an Antec Super Lanboy case for my first build soon, but the case is silver. The drives that I am getting, are made by Asus, and they are black. Is there anyway to change the drive covers or something without painting them? Asus don't make that certain DVD writer in silver.

You should be able to get different face plates for em. My lite-ons came w/ different colors.

Oh ok. I found something called a bezel or something. What is that? What do they do? It looks like a drive cover or somethin, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, the bezel is the front of the drive. Most drives come with an alternative. My white Sony came with a black one.

So, is that basically a faceplate? Or is it just a cover thing that flips down and lets the drive slide out or somethin?

Should be a faceplate. The cover-things that flip down usually come with the case, I would think.

The bezel is the faceplate on the drive, and the cover for the disk drawer.

Super easy to swap them out... as long as the drive is not in the case. It's possible to do it while they are installed, but not worth the effort.

Oh ok then. So if a bezel is named as 'universal' that should mean that it would fit on nearly any kind of optical drive?
