Hi Guys, anyone have any experience with NUMA on dual CPU boards?
Specifically a friend of mine has a tyan K8WE board with 2 single core opterons, he has 2 x 1GB mem sticks in there at the moment but there are another 2 on the way. The thing is that the memory bandwidth is around 6k but with NUMA you'd expect it to be up around 10k.
Is the fact there are currently only 2 NUMA nodes causing the lower bandwidth or are there settings/factors that can be concidered? - sorry I dont have more details but his comp isnt infront of me.
