Dual Channel DDR400 speed?

I've got 2GB DDR400 running in dual channel and CPU-Z says the frequency is 200mhz? Does this sound right? Is it running both channels for a cumulative 400hmz or is it running litterally slower than it should be at 200mhz?

Sorry for the supid question, but I don't quite understand all this stuff yet.

DDR400 runs at 200mhz, DDR stands for Double Data Rate or something along them lines, it refreshs 2 times per cycle, so DDR400 = 200Mhz... Erm I think :-\

charles is basically right. DDR writes/reads at the peak and trough (top and bottom) of each clock cycle. it is indeed 200mhz. dual channel is something completetely different that i won't get into now.
