Dremel question, cutting acrylic/plexiglass

I would like to add another 80mm fan to my side window. I think my window is 1/8" acrylic, but it might be plexiglass.

Will this bit cut 1/8" acrylic and plexiglass? I know I can use cutting discs, but I'd rather be a little more precise and clean.

If that bit won't work, can you suggest a better one?

That should cut both acrylic and plexiglass. Just go slowly and carefully to avoid chipping.

yeah plexiglass and acrylic chip and crack very very easily. i know from experience. i hope everything goes good for u.

when you are cutting, tape some X's in the areas that you are not cutting, like use some masking tape. This will helps disperse all the force and the glass and help keep it from chipping. Also, best of luck.

I personally used a brand new hole saw and it worked fine without chipping. Just my 2 cents

Nah, I don't have enough money for a hole saw.

I'll try it out on a piece of plexi before I use it on my case, and see how it works.
