I'd recommend the Arctic Freezer Pro 7 for $20, it kicks any other cooler in this price range's butt

how come after a few days, i look at cpu-z and i see that the multiplier went down from 7 to 6?

SpeedStep - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

that explains it well, to "disable" it you'd just load the CPU to 100% on all cores, or if you really want to get rid of it

also disable C1E and EIST in your BIOS

ok i got my arctic cooling freezer 7 now. How do i overclock to at least 3ghz

As for getting to 3.0ghz , up the FSB by 10-15mhz check stability. If it isn't stable raise the voltage by 1 option up in bios (i don't mean 1.3v to 1.4v) . I mean 1.325 to 1.350 or something like that.
