well fx-55 has dropped severly, i would call that a consumer level price now... 200 dollars...... with a free 250 gb hard drive.. now thats a deal

so...can anyone tell me what this mysterious divisor is, what it does, how it affects the performance of my cpu, how it affects the performance of my ram, and how i go about finding out what it is for my specific cpu (64x2 4200)?
thanks

cool the basic guide seems like it has a lot of useful information.
i think i grasp the very (very) beginnings of the overclocking.
how to figure mhz, how raising the mhz on the clock raises processor speed, pardon my cave-man like explanation.

but it is the divisor which eludes me...
i can't seem to find anything that references it except for a couple of articles that deal with oc ing, but they offer no explanation at all...they just mention the "divisor"
i think it really has more to do with ram speed and the cpu efficiently using the ram.
anyone have an article or anything that deals with divisors? i.e. more than just mentioning it...like i know what the heck it is...
