Default Dirt Cheap Gaming Rig

Could someone give me a build-it set up that would be the cheapest I could build but would still get good frames on games like Doom3 and BF2. I want it to be a complete system (components, case, monitor, and speakers).

I'm assuming that your price range is around 1200 dollars.
Motherboard- ABit AX8 97 Dollars
Processor- AMD 3200+ Venice 190 Dollars
Video Card- EVGA 6800GT 315 Dollars
Ram-TwinMos Speed P/Ocz Value VX 100 Dollars
Hard Drive-Maxtor 16 MB cache HD 110 Dollars
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822140152
Monitor- Samsung 17 inch LCD 250 dollars
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001171
Power supply- Epower/Tangan 480 Watt 70 Dollars
DVD burner- NEC 3540A 42 dollars
Case- Some 50 dollar stylish case 50 Dollars

I left out keyboard/mouse/speakers, but you can get some cheapo ones for like 15 dollars. Should be a good system, and will give you overclocking headroom if you ever decide to take the plunge.

Other choices for mobos would obviously be DFI-Lan party or Epox NF-4.

@hacp, which one of those mobos would be the best choice?

also do you think this monitor would be a better choice:

ViewSonic VA712B-1 Black 17" 8ms LCD Monitor

btw, yeah my price range is about $1,300 USD so the set-up you gave me would work out nice.

Ya the stats make it look like a better choice, but it looks ugly.

Well, CRTs are a better value, but LCDs look cool, and gives you all that room. For the mobo, any of the mobos I listed are good enthusiast Mobos.
