desktop vs tower

Should i get a desktop or tower??
This guy shows the advantages and disadvantages of each.

But I still can't decide.. which should I get??

Advantages:
Excellent computer for upgradability.
Excellent case for a server machine.

Disadvantages:
Cost is going to be a lot more than a standard case.
Generally a large case which cannot be placed on top or beneath a desk.

Recommendations:
We recommend that this type of case be purchased by advanced users or users who plan to have a stand alone machine as a server.

Another Advantage about a full tower case is that they do not heat up as fast as the other cases.

I am suprised that they did not mension SHUTTLE BOX.

But I still can't decide.. which should I get??

what is your computer going to be used for? what components will you be using? do these components give off a lot of heat? what is your budget?
