Im usinga Gigabyte GA-7VT600-PL Rev 1.0 (Chipset: VIA KT 600), Athlon 2800+ barton @ 2.09GHZ (166MHZ FSB), 768MB DDR SDRAM which is:
>> 256MB OCZ OCZ333256V PC2700 Value (SPD: CL 2.5-3-3-8)
>> 512MB OCZ OCZ400512V25 PC3200 Value (SPD: CL 2.5-4-4-8)

Im using BIOS version F7 (the latest is F8 but had problems loading Acronis True Image via CDROM or ZIP disk so reverted to F7). My current DRAM Timings are 2.5-3-3-7.

Im intending on replacing the 256MB PC2700 with a 256MB PC3200 (SPD: 2.5-3-3-7) and then adjusting the BIOS DRAM timings to: 2-3-3-6 since my FSB is 166MHZ and the sticks are rated for 200MHZ but will only be performing at 166MHZ I figure I could get away with this reduced timing on the 2 PC3200 sticks. Has anyone had such luck?

I intend on MemTest86+ on this for 7hrs when i get a chance but wanted to get your thoughts on such timings.

Is here a decent BIOS teaking guide i can refer to for adjusting some of those other strange settings?

Thank you!
