CPU fan speed , want faster

Hi ,

My cpu fan sticks at 2500 RPM , is there any way I can speed it up?
I know of fanspeed regulator, but aren't they more to reduce the rpm rather than increase them?

I simply have the fan 3 pin power plug directly plugged into the MOBO , what can I do to speed it up

goto BIOS and look at that fanspeed control you mentioned. you should be able to max it out or increase the speed somehow. also, sometimes there is a setting to have it spin at high rpm only above a certain temp. see if you can lower that temp.

Thats about average for a CPU fan thats 80mm. Mine only does 2900 and is able to max at 4000 but wont.

If you have a 3 pin fan power plug you cant cange the speed in the Bios you need a 4 pin plug for that.
